We have focussed our research on the socio-economic impact of technological innovation. This means FreedomLab studies the synergy between technological innovation and social change that can be found in the way people spend their disposable income, time and energy. We call this social innovation. FreedomLab uses an applied research method. This is a combination of scenario building tools, storytelling techniques and exploratory research. A major part of our research are our expert-interviews. All our experts have their own theories and stories. FreedomLab tries - together with our LabPartners - to find links and chainreactions in these stories. Parts of the interviews are extensively used as examples in all our Future Studies.
